Description
TECHNICAL FIELD [0001] The present invention relates to a control device, for a watch movement, comprising a first input intended to receive an action from a user and connected to an output intended to actuate a mechanism of the watch movement in response to the action. of the user, a first input controller having an operation surface defining the first input.
The present invention also relates to a watch movement comprising such a control device and a timepiece provided with such a watch movement.
State of the art [0003] Such control devices are very common in the field of watchmaking in relation to various applications, such as for example to control various display mechanisms on demand, ringing mechanisms, or other complications such as chronograph mechanisms.
From the point of view of the user, a push-type control member is typically associated with a function of the watch movement. Sometimes, a pusher can allow the actuation of several different functions, usually by the implementation of sequential mechanisms. By way of example, a single push-button makes it possible to activate the START, STOP and RESET functions in a single-push chronograph timepiece.
Disclosure of the invention [0005] The inventors of the present invention have taken the opposite view of conventional approaches which aim at generally reducing the number of components or the bulk of any device whatsoever. Typically, the use of a single pusher to control a chronograph greatly simplifies the construction of the box of the corresponding timepiece and also allows centralizing certain commands in the corresponding clock movement while they are generally dispersed, thus offering more flexibility to the manufacturer to arrange other components.
Indeed, a main object of the present invention is to provide an alternative construction control device to known control devices, to act on the same clock mechanism by actions of the user who would intervene in locations different.
For this purpose, the present invention relates more particularly to a control device of the type mentioned above, characterized in that it comprises at least one additional input control member having an actuating surface arranged at a distance. of the actuating surface of the first input control member and defining a second input of the control device, and in that the second input is also connected to the output to be able to actuate the same mechanism of the watch movement in response to a user action on the second entry.
[0008] Several applications are possible for such a control device.
It is for example possible to build a single watch movement for a wristwatch requiring the introduction of at least one control pushbutton in the corresponding box, to make two versions of the box, one for right-handed and one for left-handed.
Another possible application is the control of a clock mechanism embedded on a support arranged to rotate with reference to the corresponding box. If the rotation of the support is not done systematically by complete turns, an external control pusher can no longer actuate a conventional control of the watch movement after rotation of the support by misalignment. This type of application will be presented in detail later.
Preferred features and variants of the present invention are the subject of the dependent claims.
The present invention also relates to a watch movement comprising at least one control device of the type mentioned above and a timepiece provided with such a watch movement.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS [0013] Other features and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent upon reading the detailed description of a preferred embodiment which follows, with reference to the accompanying drawings given by way of non-limiting example. in which: FIG. 1 shows a simplified front view of a watch movement according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention; fig. 2 represents a simplified front view of a part of the watch movement of FIG. 1 in a first configuration; fig. 3 represents a simplified front view of a part of the watch movement of FIG. 1 in a second configuration; fig. 4 represents a simplified front view of a part of the watch movement of FIG. 1 in a third configuration; fig. 5 is a simplified front view of a part of the watch movement of FIG. 1 in a fourth configuration; fig. 6 shows a simplified front view of a construction detail of the watch movement of FIG. 1 in the first configuration, and FIG. 7 is a simplified front view of the constructional detail of FIG. 6 in the second configuration.
Embodiment (s) of the Invention [0014] FIG. 1 shows a simplified front view of a watch movement 1 comprising a control device according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. The watch movement 1 is illustrated by way of non-limiting illustration. In particular, this watch movement 1 comprises a musical mechanism as well as certain additional clock mechanisms which are not indispensable for the implementation of the present invention. Also, for the sake of brevity and clarity, only the elements contributing to the implementation of the invention and / or to better understand the construction and operation will be described in detail.
The watch movement 1 comprises a frame 2 intended to allow the assembly of the movement in a watch case (schematized in FIG 2, with the reference numeral 4). The frame 2 carries a turntable 6, the latter being connected to the frame 2 by any suitable known means allowing a relative rotational movement between them, such as for example a ball bearing (not shown), the axis of rotation of the turntable being here confused with the central axis of the watch movement 1, without limitation.
The watch movement 1 comprises a watch mechanism 8, known to those skilled in the art, for supporting a display dial of the current time by maintaining it in a constant angular orientation with reference to the box of the piece regardless of the angular orientation of the turntable 6. In addition, the watch mechanism 8 is typically arranged to control the display needle positions taking into account the angular orientation of the turntable 6. This clock mechanism 8 does not have a direct link with the implementation of the invention and being of known construction, it will not be further described here.
Furthermore, the watch movement 1 comprises other clock mechanisms related to the measurement of time and the display of the current time which will not be described in detail, including a time base comprising a vortex tri-axial 10.
To come more directly to the invention now, the turntable 6 carries a musical mechanism whose components are distributed in different locations of the turntable 6.
In a nonlimiting manner, the musical mechanism here comprises two rotary members 12 each of which has the shape of a roller associated with a keyboard 14. In a conventional manner, each roller 12 carries pins 16 (partially shown) intended to cooperate with blades 18 of the keyboard 14 corresponding to emit sounds and produce a musical melody when the roller 12 is driven to turn on itself.
The rotational drive of the rollers 12 is made from a source of mechanical energy, here a cylinder 20 housing a barrel spring in a conventional manner, as best shown in FIG. 2.
The drive of the rollers 12 from the barrel 20 is however carried out indirectly. Indeed, the toothed drum of the barrel 20 is kinematically connected to a toothed gear 22 for driving the turntable 6, in particular via a locking wheel 24 and a speed regulator 26 (FIG. ) with conventional variable inertia. As will be seen below, the locking mobile 24 may have a locked state in which it locks the barrel of the barrel 20, and thus the musical mechanism, and an unlocked state in which it leaves the barrel of the barrel 20 free to rotate. In the latter case, the toothed mobile 22 is rotated and rolls on a fixed toothing 28 carried by the frame 2, causing a rotational movement of the turntable 6 with reference to the frame 2, preferably at a constant speed under the effect of the action of the cruise control 26.
The rotation of the rotating platen 6 is then used to drive the rollers 12 in rotation by means of another fixed toothing 30 carried by the frame 2. Each roller 12 is secured to a toothed pinion 32 (Fig. 1) arranged in engagement with an axial return 34, itself arranged in engagement with the fixed toothing 30. Consequently, when the turntable 6 pivots, the gear 34 rolls on the fixed toothing 30 and drives the pinion 32 in rotation, and therefore the corresponding roller 12.
The musical mechanism illustrated and described here is of the type on demand, in a non-limiting manner, that is to say that it is engaged in response to a predefined action of a user. Alternatively or in addition, it could also be triggered by the watch movement itself, for example the passage of hours.
A box 4 of a timepiece has been shown schematically in FIG. 2, which houses a pusher 38 to be actuated by a user to engage the musical mechanism.
The present construction may be applied more widely to any known type of mechanism for producing sound vibrations in a timepiece, including mechanisms comprising vibrating elements of the bell or bell type associated with at least one hammer, for example. example in clockwork timepieces, the minute repeater or even large ring type, musical mechanisms of the type used in music boxes, or whistle mechanisms (s).
Note in FIG. 2 that the turntable 6 carries a control device comprising three different control members here having the shape of flip-flops 40, 42 and 44, each of which has an actuating portion arranged projecting from the periphery of the turntable 6 in order to cooperate with the pusher 38.
These three flip-flops 40, 42 and 44 are arranged in such a way that an action on any one of them has the effect of actuating one and the same organ, namely a latch 46.
The latch 46 is rotatably mounted on the turntable 6 and has a first nozzle 48 to be positioned or not in the passage of a finger 50 carried by the locking latch 24, to lock the latter or the leave free to turn.
The latch 46 has a second spout 52 arranged to cooperate with the latch 40 and rotate the latch 46 in the anti-clockwise rotation in the view of FIG. 2, in response to a pressure on the latch 40, that is to say to move it from a locking position to an unlocking position.
The latch 46 has a third spout 54 arranged to cooperate with a return 56 rotatably mounted on the turntable 6, the return 56 being itself arranged to rotate in the clockwise direction in FIG. 2 in response to a pressure on the rocker 42. It also emerges from FIG. 2 that a rotation of the reference 56 in the clockwise direction causes a rotation of the latch 46 in the anticlockwise rotation direction, ie an unlocking of the musical mechanism.
The latch 44 is arranged on the turntable 6 so that a pressure on it causes its rotation in the anti-clockwise rotation in FIG. 2, which causes a rotation of the rocker 42, and consequently of the return 56, in the clockwise direction.
FIG. 2 illustrates the watch movement 1 in a first configuration in which the musical mechanism has a locked state, the rocker 40 being located opposite the pusher 38.
It should be noted that different springs are provided, but not shown, to tend to maintain the latches 40, 42 and 44 in their rest position as illustrated in FIG. 2.
A pressure on the pusher 38 to unlock the musical mechanism, which causes a rotation of the turntable 6 in the clockwise direction in the view of the figures, as is apparent from the view of FIG. 3 illustrating the watch movement 1 in a second configuration.
When, in the present case, the turntable 6 has rotated 120 ° since the initial state of FIG. 2, as shown in FIG. 4, latch 46 resumes its locking position, as will be explained later. The latch 42 is then located opposite the pusher 38 and the turntable 6 stops its rotation. A new pressure on the pusher 38 causes a new unlocking via the rocker 42 which acts on the return 56 which itself acts on the latch 46 to turn the latch in the anti-clockwise direction of rotation and place it substantially in the position shown in fig. 4.
The turntable 6 then resumes its rotation for 120 °, that is to say until the latch 44 is located opposite the pusher 38, as shown in FIG. 5.
A new pressure on the pusher 38 from this configuration causes a new rotation of the turntable 6 to replace the watch movement 1 in the configuration of FIG. 2.
It appears from figs. 2 to 5 that the latch 46 has an additional arm 58 carrying a finger 60 arranged projecting from the side of the turntable 6.
Figs. 6 and 7 provide a better understanding of how the musical mechanism can be controlled to rotate 120 ° each time the pusher 38 is pressed.
The frame 2 carries a ring 62, close to its periphery, in which there are three internal notches 64, distributed in such a way that two adjacent notches are located at 120 ° from one another.
The configuration of the watch movement 1 in FIG. 6 corresponds to that illustrated in FIG. 2, the finger 60 carried by the latch 46 having been represented in a first notch 64.
As a result of pressure on the pusher 38, the latch 46 pivots and releases the turntable 6 which starts to rotate to lead to the configuration of FIG. 3 which is reproduced in FIG. 7.
It is noted in FIG. 7 that the ring 62 plays the role of a cam: the finger 60 is no longer located opposite one of the notches 64, the latch 46 is retained in its unlocked position as shown in FIG. 3 and the rotation of the turntable 6 continues to the configuration illustrated in FIG. 4. In this configuration, the finger 60 having traveled 120 ° is opposite the next notch 64 and the latch 46 can resume its locking position under the effect of the action of its return spring (conventional , not shown). The locking wheel 24 is then again immobilized, as is the turntable 6, and the music produced by the action of the pins 16 on the blades 18 ceases.
Thus, a watch movement and a corresponding timepiece are obtained, by the implementation of the present invention, whose visual and sound properties are novel and exceptional.
The foregoing description attempts to describe a particular embodiment by way of non-limiting illustration and, the invention is not limited to the implementation of certain particular features which have just been described, as for example the functions of the watch movement as it has been illustrated and described, in particular those controlled by the control device according to the present invention.
Furthermore, the angle of 120 ° is indicative and may be modified without departing from the scope of the invention, the number of operation flip-flops not necessarily being equal to three. Two flip-flops are of course conceivable as alternatives, as well as four, five, six or even ten, etc.
One can provide several control devices according to the invention on the same watch movement. It can then be advantageously provided to arrange them at different heights in the direction of the thickness of the watch movement, for obvious reasons of space.
The control device according to the present invention can be implemented with other types of control members that latches without departing from the scope of the invention, for example with levers to be operated in translation, or even following compound movements.
It is also possible that the clock mechanism controlled by the control device according to the invention stops working on demand rather than having traveled a predefined angle, without departing from the scope of the invention.
